1. Agreement
By creating an account or using AI Language Tutor, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use AI Language Tutor. The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 (a threshold that also exceeds the US COPPA limit of 13). By accepting these Terms, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
3. The service
AI Language Tutor is a mobile and web application that provides conversational English practice with AI partners, feedback on pronunciation and grammar, drills, and progress tracking. The service is provided on an as-is, best-effort basis. We do not guarantee specific language learning outcomes or test results (including but not limited to IELTS, TOEFL, or job interview success).
4. Account
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at support@ailanguagetutor.app if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or restrict accounts that show signs of abuse, fraud, or breach of these Terms.
5. Free vs paid tiers
AI Language Tutor offers a Free tier and paid subscriptions (Pro, Premium). The Free tier has usage limits documented in the app. Subscription pricing is shown in the in-app paywall before purchase and on the App Store / Google Play listing.
6. Subscription auto-renew and billing
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store account (iOS) or Google Play account (Android). Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically delete your account; to remove your account and personal data, use Profile → Settings → Delete Account (see Privacy Policy, Right to Erasure).
- Pricing may change with at least 30 days' advance notice to active subscribers; existing renewal periods will be honoured at the previously agreed price.
- A free trial may be offered to new subscribers, with duration and terms set per platform policy and announced in the in-app paywall before purchase. Availability and length may differ between Apple App Store and Google Play and may change over time.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
7. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Submit content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or violates third-party privacy;
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, the paywall, or subscription gating;
- Scrape, crawl, or extract content from the service via automated means;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the mobile app or backend;
- Use the service for spam, phishing, or harassment;
- Conduct security testing or penetration testing without prior written permission;
- Resell or sublicense the service to third parties;
- Impersonate other people or misrepresent your affiliation;
- Submit voice audio of third parties without their consent;
- Upload meeting recordings containing confidential information of others without proper authorization;
- Include real personal data — your own (such as passport numbers, payment cards, credentials, or health information) or that of any third party (real names, contact details, photographs) — in conversations, vocabulary entries, or uploads. Use fictional names and made-up scenarios for language practice. See the Privacy Policy, §17 ("User-Provided Content in Conversations") at ailanguagetutor.app/legal/privacy for the full non-exhaustive list of categories you are asked not to share and the data-minimization reasoning under GDPR Art. 5(1)(c);
- Abuse the optional Telegram bot integration (for example, flooding it with messages, attempting to extract data from other users via the bot, or using the bot for unrelated purposes).
8. Your content and license
- You retain all rights to content you submit (conversation transcripts, voice recordings, uploaded meeting audio).
- By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process it solely to provide the service (for example, sending it to AI providers, generating feedback, analyzing pronunciation).
- This license terminates when you delete the content or your account.
- We do not use your conversation content to train AI models. We rely on third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) under their own Data Processing Agreements.
9. Intellectual property
- The service (mobile app, backend, content library, scenarios, drills, UI design) is owned by PE SNISAR VIKTORIIA.
- You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the service in accordance with these Terms.
- All trademarks, including "AI Language Tutor" and associated logos, are the property of the controlling entity.
10. AI-generated content disclaimer
Feedback, corrections, and conversation responses are generated by third-party AI models (including Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, and Google Gemini). The specific provider used for a given request depends on your subscription tier (see the Privacy Policy, §3 — Sub-processors) and on real-time provider availability and fallbacks. AI output may be inaccurate or biased. Use the service as a practice tool, not as authoritative language certification. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI output (for example, in real job interviews, exams, or professional contexts).
11. Service availability and maintenance
- The service is provided on a best-effort basis without an uptime SLA for individual or consumer accounts.
- Scheduled maintenance windows are announced in-app where feasible.
- We may modify or discontinue features at our discretion, with advance notice to paying subscribers where the change is material.
- We do not guarantee availability of any specific AI provider — providers may change (for example, from Anthropic to OpenAI fallback) without prior notice.
12. Termination
- You can delete your account at any time (Profile → Settings → Delete Account; data is hard-deleted within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy).
- We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, with notice where feasible.
- On termination, your access ends; data retention then follows the Privacy Policy (transcripts retained for 30 days after generation; session audio is not retained on our servers, only a short rolling copy on your device).
13. Limitation of liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
- This limitation does NOT apply where prohibited by mandatory consumer protection law (for example, the EU Consumer Rights Directive or Ukrainian consumer protection law).
14. Governing law and venue
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine.
- Disputes shall be resolved under Ukrainian jurisdiction, in the competent courts of the registered location of PE SNISAR VIKTORIIA (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine).
- Consumers resident in the EU or EEA retain the protection of mandatory consumer-rights provisions of their country of residence pursuant to Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation.
- Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance via in-app notification and, where you have opted in, by email. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not accept the changes, delete your account before the effective date.

As the controller is established outside the EU/EEA, we have designated an EU representative under GDPR Art. 27:
